Riverleigh International Equestrian Centre has supported many charities through the years. This year, our chosen charity for the Musical Freestyle Festival is Project Rhino. This is an annual event, so you may choose to bring this proposal to your company's budget meeting, and in so doing, plan to partake in sponsorship for next year's event. We will naturally accept, and be grateful for any sponsorship towards this year's event.
THE HOST Founded in 1984, by Sheba Zager, Riverleigh International Equestrian Centre has become known as one of Gauteng's premium equine facilities, offering the highest standards of livery and professional tuition in Dressage, Showing, Showjumping and SANESA schools league.
THE EVENT Inspired by the passion and emotion of the sport, Riverleigh proudly continues a tradition that was developed many, many years ago, to attract equestrian enthusiasts to perform for charity. Musical Freestyle, or dressage to music, involves a sequence of movements ridden in time to music (as seen at Olympic events). Gauteng equestrians spend months preparing and planning choreography, music and costumes for this event. The event has a festival atmosphere, with various performances such as the Musical Freestyle, auctions of donated goods and shows in-between judged competition. Equine enthusiasts, animal lovers and families come from all over Gauteng, to spend a wonderful, entertaining day out in the country, where they enjoy the food, drinks and treats from our market stalls.
